CAPERmed 2016 - II Meeting - Brescia, Italy, 28-30 June
"(E)merging directions on air pollution and climate change research in the Mediterranean ecosystems"
Mediterranean ecosystems are coping with multiple stresses due to the ongoing climate change processes. The impacts on their stability should be better understood to develop suitable adaptation and mitigation strategies, both for managed and natural ecosystems. The meeting will bring together scientists and stakeholders from the Mediterranean basin specifically interested in the effects of air pollution and climate change on Mediterranean ecosystems to share innovative ideas and research methodologies for a more sustainable future.
Main aim of the meeting is to set the basis of a proposal for a common funded research project.
Cutting edge presentations of innovative ideas and research methodology on the CAPERmed topics are welcome, as well as posters illustrating the recent results of the different research groups.
A SPECIAL ISSUE of the Springer Journal Environmental Science and Pollution Research (ESPR), guest edited by G. Gerosa, R. Ochoa-Hueso, S. Munzi and R. Marzuoli, will host papers of the best CAPERMed contributes, both from oral and poster presentations.
The researchers who are willing to propose their work for a paper should contact the organising committee not later than the end of the meeting. The papers of the selected works should be finalised and submitted to ESPR by 31st October 2016.
The Publication of the special issue is expected six months later.
